Changes to how the tips are posted

I have had a few members point out that too many posts on each thread may be a little confusing so I have changed each tip section to make a bit easier to follow.

I have only done the Big price daily alerts section now and will do the others later.

We will now have

Todays Big price daily alerts - here you will find the days tips and these will be deleted at the end of the day and new tips will be posted under this title each day.

Profit / Loss - Big price daily alerts - here you will find all selections and a running p/l total.

As I am not able to post on jevens11 thread, I will post here.

Just a thought for jevens11 & admin:

If jevens11 is  "our resident tipster" then surely a P/L record is the only fair way people are going to be able to judge if the thread is worth following.
Further down the line when people join they won't know how good or bad the thread is without P/L.

Just a thought.

I dont think there is a need for a p/l for the resident tipster and it would hinder him giving a valuable insight into the days racing.
Some of us are following Johns system and if we do fancy another interest then we can consider Jordans thoughts. Both have a good history in finding winners and im sure that will continue.

I have no doubt that if a p/l was used that jevans11 would show a level stakes profit. Jordan has been king enough to share his vast knowledge on the days racing with some excellent reasoning behind his tips but I think he would prefer that you read his thoughts on the race and then decide whether or not you want to back the tip rather than follow all his selections. I think grabut has nailed it with his reply.

Another idea   

Instead of a load of separate threads on the Horse racing members tips, how about 1 thread for all the days tips all in one place.

Although, if members want to start a individual, long term separate thread for example like jevens11 AW thread , than that can run along side the daily thread.

Might be easier for people to keep track of what is being tipped on the day , instead of having to look through a load separate of threads. Especially as new members join there could be a lot going on. Might make it easier.

Again just an idea

The idea is good but I wouldn't want to upset members by removing the threads they have started , I will give that some thought. Thanks

Afternoon All,

Sorry about not providing my input until now but I've been busy with other things.

The notion of keeping a P/L is something that I agree with in principle but as John rightly said, my approach to racing is to provide readers with the tools and insight they need to find winners and to be honest, if I was going to operate a proper P/L I would probably only be tipping one or two horses a week maximum and I'm not sure that's what's desired from a 'resident tipster'.

For people that are interested in gauging my performance, I can confirm that I will only be operating two threads here, so anyone that wishes to check out my results for themselves will be able to do so with a bit of light research and those that know me from my other ventures will no doubt be aware that I don't have a bad record when it comes to betting.

In conclusion, I don't question the logic and I definitely value the input but I don't think I quite fit the mould as far as a P/L is concerned.

P.S. Great start to your P/L today Fritos, keep it up.
